- Manage flow of merchandise, identify opportunities for new products, exit strategy for poor performers
- Develop annual, quarterly, and/or monthly strategic and tactical marketing plans for merchandising based on competitive analysis, consumer input, financial data, and creative tactics.
- Responsible for overseeing the creation of retail events, promotions, advertising, and marketing communication strategies
- Evaluates market research, test results, and competitive intelligence to adjust retail marketing strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Develops and manages retail marketing budget
- Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, online, electronic media, and direct mail specific to the retail channel
- Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all marketing initiatives
- Tracks performance and establish metrics as needed
- Builds expertise in both retailer and client’s marketing capabilities and ensures alignment of brand & retailer messages both in-store and online
- Works closely with Sales to both develop programs and gain alignment, feedback, and support for them from retailers
